Social Listening Blog- Kylie Swim

Image
Hello everyone, today I am going to dive into the brand Kylie Swim. If you are not familiar with it, it is Kylie Jenner’s swimsuit brand. Now Kylie is known for a lot of things such as Kylie Cosmetics, modeling, Keeping up with the Kardashians show, and unfortunately poorly made swimsuits. The date of the collection was dropped on September 17th; it’s been a month, reviews are in, the people are not satisfied.  Kylie Swim’s value proposition is making chic customizable swimsuits. Kylie and her team are getting an ear full from angry customers asking why their swimsuits are so sheer or why the fabric is so tiny that it won’t cover up anything. Any reasonable business owner who takes pride in their products would try and fix the problems as soon as possible, therefore her consumers are displeased. Apparently Kylie and her team did not get the memo and have gone MIA. Their target audience are young millennials and old Gen Z who range from the years of 18-35. This is a huge chunk of so...

Coca-Cola's Refreshed Marketing Campaign

Image
"WOW," was my first thought when I saw Coca-Cola's new marketing campaign. Coca-Cola has always done such an incredible job making their ads remarkable. Just when you think it couldn't get any better, it does. They have given goosebumps and a sense of warmth and welcoming to every customer buying their drink and/or watching their ad. Coca-Cola has made its first new global brand platform for the Coke trademark in five years, and it is called Real Magic. The idea behind this new tagline is to show the consumers we should embrace our unique perspectives. With a new tagline comes a new design. Coca-Cola also introduced us to their "Hug logo", and the idea was formed by Wieden+Kennedy London. KnownUnknown helped with photography, illustrations and animations. The company, KnownUnknown, wants designers to come together and work as one network. Every person who had any part in making this refreshed marketing campaign for Coca-Cola did a gre...

Lilly's Blog: Get to Know Me!

Hiya everyone, m y name is Lilly Meyers and I am a sophomore at Linn Benton. I graduated from Pleasant Valley High School in Iowa. After high school I went to Scott Community College; however when Covid happened in 2020 I decided to take a step back from school and focus on working. I just recently moved from Iowa to Oregon for a fresh start. Everyone starts their journeys at different stages of their lives and I happen to start mine at the age of 21. I’ve been back and forth with many majors, but business is one that I have always come back to. I believe a lot of jobs stem from business and I think anyone can benefit from marketing no matter what their major or job is. Which is amazing, it is so cool how different jobs can intertwine with one another.       A little more about me, I have an absolute love for traveling. I believe that we, the people, are here to explore where we live. I do not think working 40 plus hours a week and bending o...
